Word on the street 2018

We’re back! Dingwall’s small, but perfectly formed, three-day festival of books, poetry, comedy, music, drama, dance, walks, talks, art and storytelling features a wealth of talented folk from both the area and beyond. This year (our fourth) promises to be the best festival yet, thanks, in part, to the support of Women in the Highlands.A highlight of this year’s programme is an evening of performance poetry and comedy. We havesomething for all ages and tastes, including children’s events (puppetry and drumming) and our Soul Food evening mixing food and words to create a unique recipe. We’ll round off the festival with an evening of drama from the Dingwall Players, dance from plan B Young Company and a specially created piece – Hector Meets the Poets – featuring music, song and poetry. From art exhibitions to yarn bombing, one thing is certain, there’s something for everyone at this year’s Word on the Street.
